Started off with finger food, nothing exceptionally tasty but my girl friends find the calamari rings bit fishy.

Tried abit of the cheros, very cripsy. Should it be that crispy? I remember it to be crispy on the outside and chewy inside. Hmmm...

As you can see from the pictures, all chix steaks look alike, serve with penne and veggie. The only thing different is their sauce.

Diavalo chix is spicy, chunks of chili can be found in the sauce but don't worry, is not chilli padi.

Creamy taraggon chix, tasted abit of the sauce but cannot remember how it tasted now.

Aloha Chix, Salsa sauce with pineapple is very juicy and sweet, compliment well with the dry chix breast.

Black Pepper Chix, strong aroma of black pepper but not too spicy. Well, i think the chix steak will taste even better if they were to use thigh meat instead.

Spinach Crepe $16.70

Chopped spinach in Roma Sauce, baked with loads of cheez.

Chantilly Al Cioccolato Bianco

This cake is one of the Sunday Times 50 yummiest cake. I had difficulty pronouncing the name of the cake while ordering. Click on the names to learn the correct pronunciation in italian. --> Chatilly Al Cioccolato Bianco

The texture of this cake is similar to Tiramisu, smooth, moist and not too sweet. White chocolate toppings add another crunchy factor to the cake. Glad that QQ loves it.

Ananda Bhavan Vegetarian Restaurant

Went to Little India on a hot and humid Monday afternoon and decided to have Indian food for lunch.

Jain Set - Chappathi, White Rice. Masala Papad, Yogurt, Veg, Dhal.

Bathura

This bathura was oily but i personally prefer this over Chappathi which was quite dry.

Well, unhealthy food always taste better. :)

No idea what was this but i think the white chunks in the sauce should be bean curd.

Gulab Jamus (Red ball soaked in syrup)

It tasted like Donut soaked in maple syrup. PJ had a sugar rush after eating this.

To me, all the sauces tasted alike which has a very strong aroma of mix spices. But if you are a curry lover, you will definitely love them all.

Wondering what is this??? It is battered green chilli! I gave it a bite realising that it was not spicy but bitter. Never know that green chilli is bitter.

Xin Wang Taiwan Cafe 新旺台湾茶餐厅

I have a fetish for Taiwanese food. Always cannot resist buying a cup of Pearl Milk Tea every time i walk pass the stall and it goes very well with Taiwanese XXL chicken chop! When i got to know that Xin Wang has a Taiwan Cafe, i was delighted and was looking forward going.

卤肉饭

Braised Minced Pork Rice ($6.80)

I really love the 卤肉饭（Braised Minced Pork Rice) that i had in Taiwan and so we ordered it.

The gravy was starchy and they used long grain rice instead of short grain japanese rice (we normally call it 珍珠米)which is more chewy. Still prefer the one i had in Taiwan.

香菇肉羹配米粉

Pork and Mushroom Thickened Soup with Bee Hoon ($6.80)

Can choose between bee hoon and rice for this dish. The bee hoon is to be eaten separately with the soup and the texture of the soup was just like shark fin soup which is thick and starchy. Not very fantastic.

烤腌肉金针菇

Grilled Enoki Bacon Stick ($4.80)

Thought bacon is pork? But the waitress told us is beef. As usual, the enoki was crunchy and sweet but the beef bacon was quite dry.

冰珍珠奶茶

Iced Pearl Milk Tea ($2.80)

All-taiwanese Salted Crispy Chicken Bites ($4.80)

This was good!! Crispy on the outside but very tender and juicy inside. I was craving for more after finishing the whole plate by myself which was not alot. :)

Nectarie

I was brought to Nectarie after dinner for dessert and a chit chat session.

Didn't know what to order so i ordered the Caramelized Bananas With Chocolate Cake ($7) since it is a signature item and one of the Sunday Times top 50 Yummiest Cake. The white chocolate icing was creamy and not too sweet, ate it together with the soft chunky bananas and crunchy base which tasted like crushed rocher gave it another different texture.

Strawberry Cream ($6.50)

A blend of exquisite berry bouquet including hibiscus, rosebip, apple, elderberries and blueberries.

Refillable with hot water.

Iced Mocha

Heard that their Strawberry Shortcake is nice. Shall try it next time.
